It's unfortunate the driver is so different and isn't compiling as easy as one would hope. Hopefully Intel and VMWare can collaborate and get something worked out.

Thanks for responding guys. My question is, when you make a fw change it autosaves or you can manually save. How many of these can be saved? I see references to number of rules, rules per host, etc. but nothing regarding the configs. Thanks, Jake

vRA/vCAC Calendar of Items Portlet missing after upgrade
Hello all -
We have just upgraded our vRA environment from 6.2.1 to 6.2.2. While perfmoring post upgrade test, I noticed that the Calendar of Events portlet is erroring out - full error message is csp.home.portlets.calendar -
Content not available. The system cannot find the extension, or you no longer have permission to access it. Contact your system administrator.
This is if the portlet was already added to the user's home page on vRA. If I remove the portlet and re-add it, it is not available on the Add Portlet list. I checked the time on all appliances as well as IaaS box and they're all in sync, and also license has not expired. And this was working before just fine. Let me know if anyone had encountered this before and ideas to share.
This is not a show stopper for now as main functionality is still working but could be indicative of something major that is waiting to happen

Configure update manager 5.5 to use a different version of MSXML for security reasons

Update Manager 5.5
Esxi 5.5
Hello. It looks like update manager 5.5 uses C:\Windows\SysWOW64\msxml4.dll which is flagged as a critical vulnerability. We need to remediate to the most recent version. Updating the dll is no problem but what do I need to do to get Update Manager to look at the newly deployed MSXML dll?

This question remains unanswered, I am having the same problem, in vmware log it shows the following error message:

I am also using Mac Yosemite, last friday vmware was working fine, I didn't update, now it is not working anymore. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and checking folder permissions but it didn't fix the problem. Unfortunately I do not have a time machine copy to backup my files, I need a solution. Thanks.

I have the same setup and problem. I moved this VM from a working Workstation 9 setup to a new Workstation 11 install. I tried changing e1000 to vmxnet3 and saw no difference. My symptom is seen easiest by slogin to the guest and typing something that spits out a lot of data, like dmesg: sometimes it hangs halfway through, sometimes it doesn't start at all. Logging in through the VNC console shows the guest to be unremarkable: no errors, no performance problems, etc. Just the network.

Does anyone see any reason why IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere would run within Fusion Pro 7? Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any issues?

update entitlements from vRO
Does anyone have any examples of modifying or updating existing entitlements. I have an entitlement that i would like to remove an entitled catalog item from as a vRA workflow. I dont see a clear way to do this. Has anyone done this and if so would you be willing to share how you did it with me?

How to collect historical data when the collector goes down?
Hi, we are using vRealize Operations 6.0.1 and we notice that if the collector is down (during maintenance for example), it doesn't collect the data that he lost.
How can we force to recover the lost data during "data collector" down time?

Page 60 of the NSX 6.0.2 admin guide, NSX can save up to 100 configurations. "After this limit is exceeded, saved configurations marked with Preserve Configuration are preserved while older non-preserved configurations are deleted to make room for preserved configurations."
It appears that the same holds true in 6.1.

Estamos enfrentando o mesmo problema, porém com apenas um dos Hosts - que substituir o Host Antigo passou a intermitentemente sem razão aparente perder a conectividade.
O cenário é muito parecido, todos os 3 Hosts estão com ESXI 4.1 completamente atualizados
Um dos Hosts é uma máquina mais nova Dell R720 versus os dois R710 do pool original
Depois dessa mudança para o novo Host "do nada" e sem nenhum problema associado as máquinas virtuais deste Host perdem a conexão, ficam ligadas mas sem conectividade de rede.
... (foi nesta época em que atualizamos todos os hosts com mesma versão através do Update do Vcenter)
Realizei testes iniciais com VMXNET3, as primeiras máquinas virtuais reestabeleceram a comunicação com sucesso, mas as demais não.
Algumas vezes migrando a máquina do Host 3 .. para Host 2 ou Host 1 ela restabelece conexão e quando migradas novamente para o Host 3 (mais novo) perdem a conexão
Configurações de HA funcionando normamente
Moving dos servidores ocorre normalmente
Todos os servers enxergam todas as Luns perfeitamente
Problema muito muito chato que ocorre do Nada ...
Sei que estamos usamos uma versão antiga, mas é a que temos registrado e não temos opçao de comprar uma versão mais nova....

vROps SSL Cert Errors
I seem to have noticed that creating a signed cert w/ a C-Name as the common name rather than the master node's A-record causes me to get cert errors even though the cert is valid. Doing the reverse ends up w/ the same result.
The only time the cert shows as 'valid' is when I connect to the master node via it's IP or A record shown @ the consoles login screen. Is this normal behavior? I feel that it may be a bug as I did not see these issues w/ 5.8.
For example:
Master Node IP: 192.168.1.50
Master Node A Record: vropsmaster-node.localdom.com
Master Node C Name: vrops.localdom.com
Certificate Info:
Common Name: vrops.localdom.com
Subject Alternative Name(s):
DNS: vropsmaster-node.localdom.com
IP: 192.168.1.50
In this case, vropsmaster-node.localdom.com and 192.168.1.50 come back as having valid certificates. Trying to connect to vrops.localdom.com has Chrome, IE, and Safari returning with host name mismatch errors for the cert. Screenshot from Safari attached.
