Looks like that resolved the issue, although I'm curious at to why you pick powershell v2 as your target given the improvements to job control and PS remoting in v3. Please consider revising the following portion in your install guide (p58) or including a full matrix of supported/tested software components.
Install Windows PowerShell in Windows Server 2008
1 Open the Start menu and select Server Manager.
2 In the left pane of the Server Manager window, click Features.
3 In the right pane of the Server Manager window, click Add Features.
4 In the Select Features window, add a checkmark next to Windows PowerShell, then click Next.
5 In the Confirm Installation Selections window, click Install.
6 At the Installation Results window click Close.
7 Close the Server Manager window.
8 Run Windows Update (Start Menu > All Programs > Windows Update).
9 Click the Check for updates button.
10 Install all available updates (including optional updates).
Thanks for assistance so far, will continue with the test runs and see how it goes from here.
